Grey Wolf 26DBH Slide-Out …
Without me going into technical details about the
slide-out, Forest River has some great videos that will help you along http://www.forestriverinc.com/videos.aspx. Your 26DBH has the Lippert Schwintek in-wall
slide-out system.
Important: Make sure your travel trailer is level before
attempting to use the slide-out. You
will damage it if not.
Insure that nothing is in the way of the slide room on the
outside and the inside before operating it.
I have seen several travel trailers with damage to the slide room outside
wall where the operator did not make sure they had clearance when opening the
room. To make sure I have room to open the slide-out I stand perpendicular to
the RV with the slide room in and touch the room with my finger tips and extend
both arms straight out by my side. If
anything is within the space of my extending arms I know I may not have enough room
to open the slide.
When running the slide-out in make sure nothing is in the
way … NOTHING. Make sure the upper bunk
ladder is locked into its travel position and that the cabinet doors under the
TV mount are closed. Close the bathroom door and insure that no coolers,
containers etc. are on the floor in front of the slide. Also, make sure the bunk curtains are out of
the way. I actually broke the decorative
molding on my slide room due to the curtain hanging on it. See the picture below. Thank goodness for glue sticks.
Your slide room has two motors, one on each side at the top
of the room. To keep these motors
synchronized be sure when you open or close the room it goes all the way, not
partially or you may get the motors out of sync. Also hold the button about two seconds after
the room is fully in or out. If by
chance you do get the motors out of sync and your room is not closing all the
way on one side refer to the video at http://www.forestriverinc.com/videos.aspx.
