Don't Rush The Set Up Or Break Down.
If there is
one thing I have learned owning a travel trailer it is don’t rush the set-up or break
down. The first lesson I learned from this was leaving the Wilmington, NC KOA
in a thunderstorm and in my haste I forgot to insert the L-pins on my Husky
Center Line Hitch. I knew something was
wrong when we hit a dip on an overpass and our truck and trailer bounced like
crazy. Half way home we stopped for gas
and the spring bars were pointing 90 degrees from the tongue of the
trailer. This means we drove about 55 miles
with no sway control whatsoever (dodged that bullet).
So take your
time. Check and double check everything.
