Grey Wolf 26DBH - The First Time In The Shop

While out on our first trip for the 2018 season the Dometic air conditioner started acting up.  It would be running along great then it would just shut down and stay down for several hours.

When we got home I called the dealership and asked if I could bring it over for service.  The service manager said sure.  I also asked what the estimated turn-around time was and was flabbergasted that his answer was from two to four weeks.  He said he had about forty units ahead of me.  Ok, now I have owned many automobile and several houses, and I can get something serviced on them in two to three days.  Four Week?

Well after about two weeks I called for an update and they had not even looked at it yet, but a technician had the ticket on it.  Bummer!  So, at four weeks I decided to go to the dealership for an update.   The service manager pulled up the service request on the computer and fumbled around in a file box for the service ticket.  I was then told that someone had looked at it and did not find anything wrong.  That I not what I wanted to hear!  And why was the ticket in a file box and I had not been called.  The blood immediately started rushing to my face.

I think the service manager sensed that the situation was about to get tense so he said he would get someone to look at it again and he would call me in a day or two.  He also said he would probably go ahead and replace the thermostat because they have been having a lot of problems with them.

Sure enough it was the thermostat.  They replaced it and we have not had any further issues.
